What is our Global Impact Celebration?

APC is preparing to celebrate the work of all our missions partners and to support that work in new and greater ways. One of the main points of this
weekend event will be to emphasize that Missions is not a program of the church, but the Church is God's program for missions.

We exist as a church to carry out God's mission and so, our “missions projects” are not an side interest for us, they are the reason we exist. We want to celebrate the
work that is already happening and we want to be challenged to make this work our priority.

Recently APC has sought to support our mission partners around the world through a variety of fund raising efforts.
This is always a struggle and it often results in far less than we would hope, but more importantly, it makes our giving to missions a consumer project, trying to convince people both in and out of the church to buy something for a good cause.

In the Global Impact Celebration, we want to call attention to the incredible opportunities we have to really impact our world for Jesus Christ and to boldly ask people to use the resources God has blessed them with to invest in His Kingdom.

The banquet on Friday night will be a fun and colorful event with international foods and a children's choir. We will hear about the work of local

and international missions through brief interviews with representatives of these ministries. We will also have the opportunity to look at display tables representing the ministries from around the world.

On Sunday morning we will hear a strong biblical message from Chris Hays, who is preparing to serve in Argentina, teaching men and women who
will serve in ministry. We will also be challenged to respond through Faith Promise Giving.

Faith Promise Giving will ask every person at APC to prayerfully ask the Lord, how much you should give to the work of missions. This is not a pledge
to the church. You will not sign your name to a pledge card. But we will ask you to indicate on a card an amount of giving you feel God would like you to
give to missions over the next year. This is not the pledge we ask of you for the church's annual budget needs. 100% of the money given through Faith
