2. THE MARRIAGE COURSE WILL START SOON. We are starting a new Marriage Course! It will be held on 8 Friday evenings, starting March 16th, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. The course will end on June 1st. The course is open to all couples wanting to strengthen and enrich their long-term relationships. Although based on Christian principles, you need not be a Christian to benefit from this course. Details can be found on the internet under www.themarriagecourse.org. The course will be restricted to 10 couples, so act quickly if you want to participate. The cost per couple is 40 Euros, which covers babysitting, a light meal and workbooks. Flyers will be handed to you with our bulletin this Sunday and are available in the office. To sign up or to learn more, contact Pieter and Mirjam van Holten at info@apcbonn.de .
3. APC IS GROWING! The Lord has blessed us at APC. We have much reason for celebration and every reason to continue in hope and faith that God will use us here in Bonn. Our last council meeting made a significant decision that will affect the worship life of APC. Please read the attachment for details about our plans to experiment with one worship service beginning on Easter Sunday.
4. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: INFORMATIONAL MEETING. If you are a current volunteer for the Children’s Ministry, interested in joining our volunteers, or a parent who wants to hear more – we are going to have a brief informational meeting on Sunday in a week, February 26th, right after the 11:15 service in the Seven Days Room (larger conference room). This meeting should last no longer than 45 minutes, and will start immediately following the end of the service. We hope to cover our curriculum, go over guidelines and suggestions for the ministry, as well as brainstorm together our hopes and desires for the children’s Sunday learning. MORE HELP IS ALWAYS NEEDED, so if you are looking to serve further, consider this a great opportunity to get involved in the life of our church! See you on Sunday!
Any questions about this announcement may be directed to John Marlowe at (jomarlowe7@gmail.com).
5. YOUTH NEWS. No Youth Groups this next week (February 20th – 25th) due to Karneval. We will start up in earnest on Monday, and Tuesday, the 27th and 28th of February.
Please be praying that God would send out his light and truth in order to lead our youth to His dwelling place (Psalm 43).
6. KELLY’S KORNER. iPad raffle tickets are on sale for 1 € each. Members of the Kenya Mission Trip Team are selling the tickets, so find one of them and buy your tickets to enter the raffle!
Our annual Silent Auction is scheduled for Sundays, March 4th and 11th. Save those two dates.
7. FREE TRIPLE P PARENTING STARTED THIS WEEK. Although the seminar started this last Tuesday, you can still sign up for the coming two sessions. The free-of-cost seminar is held by Early Intervention Clinical Specialist, Leigh Dix. The next two seminars will take place in our Fellowship Hall on the following dates: March 21st and May 16th, from 10:00 – 11:30 AM. Flyers are available in the narthex and the church office. Sign up is necessary, so please do so via eMail at leighandpeter@gmail.com. Contact person for the church is Cordes Lindow with the eMail address cordeslindow@yahoo.com. More information on Triple P Programs can be found on the internet under www.triplep.net.
8. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (IWCF). There will be no meeting next week due to Karneval. The group will resume their meetings on Tuesday, February 28th, as usual at 9:30 AM.
9. SPERRMUELL. The pickup of all those unwanted, unneeded, unnecessary items is scheduled on Kennedyallee for Wednesday, February 29th. All church teams should try to mark those items big and small, which are no longer worth saving so we can put them out on the curb after the last service on Sunday, February 26th. We may need help, so those of you with strong arms and backs, please stay a bit after the 2nd service on that Sunday to see what needs to be put outside.

This coming Sunday, February 19th, Pastor John will continue his series on “Spiritual Disciplines”. The title of his sermon is “Simplicity”. The Scripture Lesson is Luke 9:57-62. The music at the 9:30 traditional service will be led by the APC choir with Hans-Peter at the organ, and at the 11:15 contemporary service, the Springs of Life will lead us in singing. Also during the Offertory in the contemporary service we will have the pleasure of hearing Sefora Nelson, an Italian German singer/pianist, who studied Music and Theology in Chicago. She has made several CDs and will have copies available after the service. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Please invite your neighbors and friends to worship and share Christ’s amazing love and blessings with us!
