Associate Pastor - Kelly Capps

Kelly Capps joined the APC staff as the Associate Pastor for Youth in August 2008. He grew up in small town Iowa and went on to attend Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN where he graduated in 2000 with majors in Youth Ministry and Bible. In his final year of college an intern opportunity opened to serve youth in Cairo, Egypt with an international church. He jumped at the chance and then returned to Cairo a second time with his new wife Erin for three more insightful and enjoyable years. Erin and Kelly left Cairo in 2004 so he could pursue further education. He spent two years in MN enrolled in a church based leadership development program. Next they moved to MA so he could attend Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He graduated in 2008 with a Masters of Divinity. With the full support and encouragement of the APC, Kelly was ordained to pastoral ministry in January of 2011 by the Conservative Christian Congregational Conference at the 1st Congregational Church of South Hamilton, MA. Kelly has worked with high school and middle school youth in various venues. He and his wife Erin have two children. Kelly and Erin enjoy being outdoors, riding motorcycles, traveling, drinking coffee, reading good books, and visiting family, friends, and any one else up for interesting conversation. |
