Worship Services - God at the Center

Here at the APC we put God at the center of our Church community and individual lives. Particularly our Sunday Worship Services (9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. except for July and August, then at 10:30 a.m. only) help focus our attention on the Lord, and in a way that accomodates our multi-faceted congregation (read our Statement of Faith).

The APC Worship Ministries give people a host of opportunities to use their talents in serving Him and each other on Sunday

Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. (Psalms 47:6)

For many people, music is one of the best ways to lift up their love to the Lord, and in doing so, lead others to best express their joy. The APC has five music groups performing during the two Worship Services.

• The "Praise Team" leads our contemporary Worship Service (11:15) twice a month.

• There is also the "Springs of Life" youth worship band, which takes on the lead of the contemporary service once a month.

• The "Gospel Ambassadors" serve the Lord and our congregation one Sunday a month with their uplifting style of African Gospel.

• The "APC Choir" performs hymns and classical music to the glory of our Lord in our traditional services (9:30) every Sunday.

Music, however, is not the only way to serve God and others. Numerous opportunities exist in other areas. From helping with the sound equipment, ushering, reading Scripture, preparing the church before, during and after Worship Services, no job is "insignificant", because we are doing it for the Glory of our Lord.
